Improving Academic Resources and Accessibility
Students are often left without many affordable resources to succeed within the classroom. I will establish more tutoring programs through the SLC for a greater variety of courses, mobilize the current “ThinkPlace” website and allow for student feedback, and give students easier access to spaces and classrooms.
Integrating the Greek Community into the ASUC and City of Berkeley
Greek members are often unaware of ASUC resources and how the ASUC affects Greek life. I will augment the role of the ASUC Greek Affairs Officer, who will be responsible for informing the Greek community of ASUC legislation that affects them, as well as establishing agreements with Berkeley Fire and PD to benefit Greek life members.
Fostering Closer Alumni Connections for Cal StudentsMany students come to Cal for the alumni connections and resources, but often do not get a chance to interact with its notable alumni. I will partner with the CAA and Career Center to establish alumni networking sessions to give students greater opportunities for jobs, internships, externships, and more.

Hometown: Laguna Hills, CA
Hey everyone! My name is Andrew Newbill, and I'm running to be one of your next ASUC senators with Student Action! I'm a sophomore from Laguna Hills, CA with an intended double major in Applied Mathematics and Economics. Outside of school, I enjoy running, hanging out with friends, and basically anything outdoors.
On campus, I love to be involved in many of the diverse organizations in Berkeley. I'm very involved the Greek community, from being social chair of my fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega, to being Vice President of Internal Affairs for the Interfraternity Council. I also work in the ASUC Executive Vice President's Office and have recently taken an active interest in Habitat for Humanity. I truly enjoy seeing our amazing campus and all it has to offer from many different perspectives.
As a Senator, I will institute programs and create tangible results that benefit the entire Cal community, from freshmen to seniors. I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to give back to our incredible campus and each and every one of its communities. Thank you for all of your support, everyone! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about myself or my goals as a Senator. Go Bears!
