Improved Visibility of the International Student Community
As the population of international students continues to rise, our voice should be heard more in the ASUC. I will raise awareness of current international student programs and fight for increased financial aid and resources. I will also initiate more collaboration among cultural groups to showcase the diversity we have here at Cal.
Build an Interactive Competition Database
Berkeley is involved with numerous competitions across various disciplines, but access to these opportunities is scattered and hard for students to find. As a senator, I will create a database and compile competition info, so Cal students can get involved. Students will be able to filter and directly find the resources for all relevant competitions.
Improving Off-Campus Livability
Living off-campus is a common housing option, but the process of finding a quality place with satisfactory service is difficult. I will provide a consolidated and holistic Berkeley housing resource and fight for the tenant’s rights that we deserve. Moreover, I will push for the expansion of AirBears and ensure this on-going project is carried on for better off-campus livability.

Qualifications
Hometown: Taiwan
Hello hello everyone, I’m Eric Wu and I’m running to be your ASUC senator with Student Action! I am a sophomore and I am major in mechanical and material science/engineering. And I come from Taiwan! Yes, Taiwan, not Thailand.
On top of engineering, I am heavily involved in international student community. I am currently the Events Chair for International Student Association at Berkeley (ISAB) and in the social committee of Taiwanese Student Association (TSA). I also work on collaborative activities with other cultural groups such as the Lunar New Year Banquet and the International Cup.
As a senator, I will push for more collaboration among cultural organizations on campus to not only raise the awareness of these groups, but also show the sense of unity as Cal students regardless of what cultural community we come from. Many Berkeley students share distinct background and culture, and it would be my honor to uphold this diversity. Please feel free to reach out to me for any question. And THANK YOU for the support!
