Senate Platforms

Creating a Stronger Sense of Campus Community
Many students feel overwhelmed by the breadth of academic and cultural opportunities available to them at Cal. As a Senator, I will establish a peer mentorship program to help guide students who are struggling to decide which organizations to join. I will increase access to student study groups and expand the availability of DeCal courses and seminars.

Enhancing Access to Resources for International Students
Resources and funding need to be made more accessible to Cal’s rising number of international students. I will work with the Berkeley International Office and the International Student Advisory Council to augment the pool of scholarship and job opportunities. I will hold networking events and graduate school workshops to help students develop their paths after graduation.

Increasing Citywide Public Service and Internship Opportunities
I will expand the number of service and internship options available to students by increasing the funding provided to Cal Corps. I will collaborate with the City Council to give students more opportunities to learn about local issues through hands-on experience. I will also organize social forums where participants from diverse service organizations can share their experiences in contributing to building a healthier society.

Hello Cal Golden Bears!

My name is Haley Lee and I am running to be one of your next ASUC Senators with Student Action! I am a sophomore with an intended major in Interdisciplinary Studies and minor in Public Policy. I was born in Seoul, Korea but went to an international secondary school in Tianjin, China, where I got to meet people from various countries and learn about their own cultures and customs. Outside of class, I like to sing, zumba, do yoga, take photos, and explore local restaurants!

On campus, I have been involved in Berkeley Project, DeCal Program, Cal in Local Government, Ascend, and various international student organizations. All the learning experiences I gained from participating in these student groups have been very valuable for me and now I want to share them with YOU.

I am very fortunate and honored to be given the opportunity to run in the election. Thank you for all your support and love, my friends. Please feel free to contact me if you want to learn more about my platforms or myself. And as always, GO BEARS!
